Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Talkz, a language and cultural exchange app and website operated by Fort Valley ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Talkz, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Talkz is operated by Fort Valley. You can reach us at support@talkz.app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on Talkz. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us at support@talkz.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree to provide accurate profile information. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or local law.

4. Acceptable use

Talkz is built for respectful cultural and language exchange. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, bully or impersonate other users.
• Send sexually explicit content, content depicting minors in any sexualized way, or content promoting violence, terrorism or hate.
• Send spam, scams, advertising, malware or links to malicious sites.
• Scrape, reverse engineer or attempt to disrupt the service.
• Use Talkz to break the law in your country or the country of the person you are talking to.

Reports of abuse are reviewed by moderation. We may remove content, restrict features or terminate accounts at our discretion.

5. Content you share

You keep ownership of everything you share on Talkz (messages, voice notes, images, profile content). By posting it, you grant us a limited license to host, transmit and display it so the service can work (for example, delivering your messages to the other person and rendering your profile).

We do not sell your messages.

6. Subscriptions and premium features

Talkz may offer premium features in the future, billed through the App Store or Google Play. Prices, billing periods and renewal rules will be shown clearly before purchase. Cancellations and refunds follow the rules of the store you bought through.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep Talkz running, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice when possible. Talkz is currently in an early-access phase and behavior may change between releases.

8. Termination

You can delete your account from inside the app (Settings → Delete account) or via talkz.app/delete-account. We may terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

9. Disclaimers

Talkz is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for content posted by other users, for the accuracy of translations, or for losses arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will surface the updated version inside the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Talkz after the change means you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Fort Valley is established, unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise for users in your country.
